MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Identify process for new product, purchase accessories equipment. Determine process flow, process layout, prepare Work Instruction and Capacity & Manpower Guide accordingly.
2. Plan and implement changes in the process as and when called for by a design changes in the product.
3. To lead the set-up and trial new tooling by using scientific molding process to achieve optimization of the new set-up and document all results and molding parameter.
4. Stand-in as supervisor in the absence of his supervisor.
5. Provide technical support to Manufacturing Operation Supervisor,. Assist them in training and educate line technicians and operators pertaining to machine operation, WI, processes and safety procedure.
6. Periodic audit to ensure all molding process capability are maintained, make all necessary adjustment to the set-up parameter within processes and document changed.
7. As and when required, by using scientific molding process to optimize the molding processes, improving work efficiency and improving molding defect rate.
8. Work closely with Tooling Engineer to analyze and solve product quality problem pertaining to tooling issues.
9. Audit and ensure that Quality Plans / Quality Systems/ process control procedures and processes are adhered to, to ensure that high quality products are being shipped to the customer.
10. Generate cost improvement ideas and implement projects on approval.
11. Upgrade equipment and fixtures to improve methods, quality or productivity and audit the molding area to ensure that the process equipment and tools are properly maintained.
12. Work closely with Maintenance section to set-up Preventive Maintenance Instruction and Servicing Procedures.
13. Prepare and update work instruction to reflect all changes and improvements. Organize and file work instruction, molding parameter and drawings.
14. Prepare and update process layouts.
15. Work on special project as assigned by Supervisor / Operations Manager.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
1. Degree in Plastic Engineering, minimum 3 years experiences in plastic industry environment with multi-national company will be advantageous.
2. Medical extrusion molding working experience is preferred.
3. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
4. Matured, resourceful, meticulous to details and possess strong analytical abilities and drive.
5. Strong communication and organizational skills, and capability in self 鈥搈anaging projects.
6. Familiarity with SPC methodologies desired.
7. English written and oral communication skill.
8. Well-versed with office software and Auto-CAD preferred.
9. Have a sense of initiative, integrity and responsibility in work.
10. Team work spirit.
