JOB DESCRIPTION: Plant Manager
For the continued growth of the *** worldwide business requires a dedicated and proven leader able to work closely with all business functions and Chinese employees as plant manager based in Suzhou/Wujiang, China.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for plant manufacturing operations including production planning, on-time delivery, quality, shop floor management, production equipment鈥檚 update and maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Duties:
脴 Plan, organize and direct the manufacturing and maintenance operations which ensure the most effective return on assets.
脴 Initiative plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
脴 Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports ***鈥檚 corporate strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
脴 Assure attainment of business objectives and productions schedules while insuring product standards that will exceed our customers鈥 expectations.
脴 Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned departments for problem solving and cost reduction, both on a permanent and ad-hoc basis.
脴 Encourage, coach and train use of best practice techniques and focus on fact based problem solving.
脴 Improve manpower utilization within existing departments and processes.
脴 Manage spending against budget and in relation to changes in production volume and shipment scheduling to allow for maximum return on efficiencies.
脴 Routinely update plant activities and KPI to site and corporate management team.
Employees Management:
脴 Assure that collective bargaining agreements are effectively administered and that employee grievances are addressed in a timely fashion.
脴 Work to establish management practices throughout assigned areas which include all employees鈥 positive involvement with opportunity for construction input and action.
脴 Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes.
脴 Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas.
脴 Maintain individual skills keeping up to date with latest production and production management concepts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
脴 4 year degree and above; technical field, preferred degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, and automation engineering.
脴 10 year experience in a high production and hard good manufacturing environment with 5 years of managerial experience.
脴 Strong leadership skills, strong in business ethics and moral, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
脴 A team player with good communication and inter-personal skills.
脴 Must be fluent in both English and Chinese.
脴 High energy level required.
